Amos Yee is on Tinder saying he’s proud of going to prison? ‘Lol, yeah it’s me’
Is Amos Yee on Tinder?
A Tinder user claimed to have seen the convicted child sex offender on the dating app on April 19.
Stomper Stella shared a screen recording of a scroll through the Tinder profile under the name “Amos Yee”.
In his bio, Yee wrote: “I’m Amos Yee. Like seriously. Famous political activist in Singapore, I blog and make videos fighting for freedom of expression and free food and healthcare for all Singaporeans.
“Been to prison like four times and I’m proud of it lol. Pretty much a nerd, likes reading, YouTube videos, movies and anime. Self-development is super important to me. I try to treat people with love and kindness, I meditate and exercise daily. Loves great conversations. Looking for someone to deeply connect with.”
He also indicated he is looking for a long-term relationship but “short term OK”, and described himself as bisexual with interests that include Harry Potter, film festivals and nature.
Completing a sentence that starts with “Life’s too short for...”, Yee wrote: “Go to school for 15 years, then get a miserable job for the rest of your life. Go do something scary and out of the norm, do something great.”
The photos on his Tinder profile include shots of him shirtless, just like in YouTube videos he posted recently.
When Stomp contacted Yee via the email address amosyeeishere@gmail.com to ask whether it is really him on Tinder, he replied: “Lol, yeah it’s me.”
Asked for her reaction on seeing Yee on Tinder, Stella said she was worried for “young ladies and the younger generation”.
Stompers have also recently reported seeing Yee in real life at Novena Church and Singapore Buddhist Lodge.
