Child sex offender Amos Yee was seen having lunch with his mother in the Singapore Buddhist Lodge on April 2 at 11.30am.

Stomper Philip shared a photo of the pair seated facing each other at a table in the dining hall of the Buddhist organisation known for providing free vegetarian meals.

Yee was smiling and laughing with his mum, said Philip, who described the 27-year-old as “very thin” with “white skin” and “hair too long”.

“No one recognised him except me,” claimed the Stomper.

Yee was released from Changi Prison on March 26 after his mother posted a $10,000 bail imposed on him for charges under the Enlistment Act.

The alleged national-service dodger had fled to the United States in December 2016 and was granted asylum in 2018. He was indicted for solicitation and possession of child pornography in 2020. Released halfway into his six-year jail term in 2023, he was rearrested a month later, likely because he violated the terms of his parole, which included accessing the internet without approval.

Following his release in November 2025, Yee was detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement before being deported to Singapore on March 19. He was arrested at Changi Airport on March 20.

Commenting about Yee on a recent podcast, Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam said: “I wish the Americans had kept him.”

Yee has since resumed posting videos on his YouTube channel.
