A fish soup stall in a Pasir Ris food court allegedly served up a cigarette butt in a bowl of fish soup, prompting disgusted reactions from netizens.
A photo of the dish was posted on Facebook group Complaint Singapore by user @Teddy Lee on Nov 10.
The image shows a bowl of soup topped with a used cigarette butt, which was posted alongside a photo of the stall's menu, located in Elias Mall.
It is unclear if Teddy Lee was the affected diner.

In the comments, netizens were shocked and disgusted, with some urging action from authorities.

There has been a string of food-related incidents in recent weeks, including hair found in toast from a hawker stall in Jurong, and leech eggs discovered on snow crab legs at a yakiniku restaurant in Hougang Mall.
