Woman receives only one-third of Foodpanda order: 'That's over $100 worth of food just gone'
A woman who ordered over $100 worth of food on Foodpanda says she was left devastated when only a third of her order was delivered -- and the rest never showed up.
Stomper Ashleigh told Stomp that she placed a large grocery order via the Foodpanda app on May 21.
"When the rider arrived on a bike, he only delivered about a third of it and told me someone else would be bringing the rest," she said.
"Then the order was marked as 'delivered'."
But no second rider came.
According to screenshots shared by the Stomper, the rider only delivered Coke Zero and eggs.
Left confused and concerned, she contacted Foodpanda's customer support immediately, only to be told to wait.
"Where is the driver?" she asked. "Is this a scam?"
In the chat, she was told by customer service that they could not contact the rider and redelivery was 'not possible'.
"They basically told me I have to wait three days for an outcome," she shared.
"That's over $100 worth of food just gone, and I'm devastated.
"I can't just absorb that kind of loss and I feel completely helpless."
Ashleigh hoped by sharing her predicament with Stomp, she could escalate the matter.
"If there's anyone who can assist me, I would be so incredibly grateful," she said.
"I'm not trying to make a fuss, I just really need help."
Stomp understands the matter has still not been resolved and has reached out to Foodpanda for more information.
