A woman was caught on video standing in a parking lot at Hougang Street 21 in Kovan to reserve the space before getting into a heated argument with a driver who tried to park there.

Stompers Edros and Samirah alerted Stomp to a circulated video of the incident that was posted on Singapore Incidents' Facebook page on Aug 21.

In the video, the driver's in-vehicle camera shows the woman wearing black sunglasses blocking the lot while the car is trying to reverse into it.

"I'm standing here, she want to hit me," the woman can be heard saying as car horns blare in the background.

When passers-by tell her to get out of the way, she responds: "No, she wants to hit me, you know. Ridiculous!"

Another voice is heard saying: "Then you own the carpark, is it?"

She then challenges the driver to continue reversing into her, before raising her middle finger at the camera.

The video quickly drew criticism online, with many slamming the woman for 'choping' a lot by standing in it and for her behaviour.

"Call police... see if she still insists on standing there," wrote one Facebook user.

Another commented: "If it's me, I would just park in front of that parking lot. She will give up. 😂😂😂"

However, one netizen offered that there might be more to the story, asking the camcar driver to share what happened before and after the clip.

"Sometimes, things happen for a reason," he said.
