Woman called cops after water dripped on her face at 2am, now sleeps under makeshift tent in bedroom

A resident of Block 75 Bedok North Road has resorted to setting up a makeshift tent in her bedroom just so she can sleep in peace.
Ms Chen told Shin Min Daily News that she would even sleep on her living room floor at times to escape the constant dripping in her bedroom.
The 60-year-old moved into her flat about five years ago.
In May last year, she found water dripping from her bedroom ceiling, which was covered in water stains.
The ceiling in her study, which appeared mouldy, was also dripping water.
"One night, at about 2am, water droplets fell onto my face," said Ms Chen.
"I woke up immediately and called the police, but they said there was nothing they could do."
She sought help from the authorities and found out that the neighbours upstairs had their air-conditioner temperature set very low.
Ms Chen got her ceilings repainted and set up the makeshift tent just to get a good night's sleep. She also replaced her wardrobe and bought a dehumidifier.
But the water seepage has made it impossible for the paint to stick.
Ms Chen has had her ceilings repainted thrice since last September.
"It really affects my mental health," she said, adding that she was on the verge of breaking down.
The 32-year-old tenant renting the unit upstairs said he moved in about two years ago and would set the air-conditioner temperature to 22 deg C.
"After the authorities spoke to us, we adjusted the temperature setting to 25 deg C, which is normal for home air-conditioning," said Mr Yu.
