A resident was concerned to see water spewing out of a drain in Telok Blangah Heights on Nov 10 at about 2.30pm.

Stomper Juzer said that he informed the town council about the issue near Blocks 85 to 88, but was unsure if any action was taken.

In response to a Stomp query, a Tanjong Pagar Town Council spokesperson clarified that the incident was part of a scheduled maintenance activity.

"On Nov 10, there was a scheduled water tank flushing exercise at the block. Our officer has confirmed this with the town council's sanitary contractor," the spokesperson added.

"Following the feedback received, our officer visited the site and conducted a thorough inspection.

"The area was found to be dry, with no signs of any water leakage. Based on our findings, we have determined that this was a false alarm and not a pipe burst."
