A woman was shocked by the price of her lunch at Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre on May 28.

Stomper Ng paid $4.60 for a vegetarian meal consisting of mee hoon, fried beancurd skin, cabbage and a cube of mock meat.

She said: "This is the expensive lunch I had. Look at the photo.

"It was not my first time at the stall and I did not expect the food to have gotten so expensive for such small portions."

The Stomper did not ask why her meal was so expensive. She explained: "Some stallholders feel irritated when customers ask about prices. However, the stall should have indicated the price clearly."

Wendy feels that a reasonable price for her lunch is $3.50.
