Unlucky possum gets squeezed to death and swallowed whole by huge python in Australia

A poor possum in Australia did not live long enough to see 2017.
Acid Cow has posted photos showing the critter getting squeezed by a huge python before being swallowed whole.
According to The Daily Mail, the horrifying photos were captured by a man living in Townsville, North Queensland, on Dec 30 outside his house.
He said that the serpent took around two-and-a-half hours to eat the possum.
As it was enjoying the meal, its tail was curled around a branch to keep it steady.
"I am just glad it wasn't the neighbour's cat in his mouth", the resident was quoted as saying.
