Truck carrying frozen vegetables bursts into flames after stalling on Braddell Road
A truck carrying frozen vegetables caught fire on Braddell Road before Bishan Flyover on Aug 1.
Stomper Grace shared a TikTok video of the incident.
In the clip, firefighters are seen running out of a fire engine to extinguish the flames.
A thick column of smoke rises into the air as traffic comes to a standstill before members of the public redirect vehicles.
The driver of the truck told The Straits Times that the truck had stalled. He heard a loud bang while he was trying to restart the engine.
He immediately evacuated and saw that the freezer section of the vehicle had caught fire.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at about 12.20pm.
The fire involved the engine compartment of a lorry, and SCDF spokesperson said.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
