Stomper 'feels bad' after his open letter causes Yishun resident to lose mulberry trees
Is it too late to apologise?
Gone are the mulberry trees planted by a resident outside their home at an HDB estate in Yishun.
This comes after Stomper Someone wrote an open letter on Stomp earlier this month, criticising "the owner of these mulberry trees staying at Block 200+".
The gardening enthusiast acknowledged the greenery's beauty, but took issue with the '24-hour CCTV' and 'No Stealing' signs displayed at the trees.
The Stomper declined to share the exact location of the trees as he did not want to get the resident in trouble.
On April 17, he noticed that the signs were gone from the trees.

The Stomper shared: "I think the open letter worked. The plants have been trimmed and the signs have been removed."
It seems like his open letter might have worked too well, however.
On April 25, the Stomper saw that the trees were in the process of being removed. The area was also cordoned off.
Nee Soon Town Council said it was aware of the situation and had issued a notice to the resident, adding: "We will give the resident some time to remove the trees.
"If needed, the town council is also willing to provide assistance in removing the trees."
The town council reminded residents to keep common areas free of obstruction and prevent potential mosquito breeding grounds.
Stomper Someone said: "Sianz... Now I feel so bad."
