Motorist charged $6.30 for 4-minute drop-off at Jurong East building, warns others to avoid it

A motorist was stunned to be charged over $6 for spending just four minutes in a carpark at LW Technocentre along Toh Guan Road East in Jurong East.

Stomper Kok Huei said he entered the building's carpark at 31 Toh Guan Road East on July 4 at 7.40pm and exited at 7.44pm -- and was charged $6.30 for it.

"I was shocked to be charged $6.30 for just four minutes at the gantry, simply for a quick drop-off," he told Stomp.

Kok Huei added that he had made multiple attempts to reach the building's management via phone and email to clarify the parking charges, but received no reply.

"I urge the public to be extremely cautious and avoid this building by all means to prevent being unfairly charged," he said.
