Shopee takes disciplinary action after deliveryman forcefully tosses customer's parcel
A man had an 'unfortunate delivery experience' with a courier from SPX Express on May 9.
Stomper Phil shared a video of a deliveryman forcefully tossing a parcel outside his home at about 3.30pm.
He also expressed disappointment at Shopee's response to him about 'driver re-education' after giving feedback.
"The item was a disc and it was not damaged, but Shopee's cookie-cutter response was less than desired," he said.
"It's like a template that they use without any customer recovery."
In response to a Stomp query, a Shopee spokesperson said: "We are in touch with the customer to extend our assistance regarding their concern and have reviewed the incident with our fulfilment partner, confirming that disciplinary action has been taken against the delivery personnel involved.
"We take such feedback seriously and continue to work closely with our partners to improve response quality and reinforce service standards across all delivery touchpoints."
Phil shared that he received another email following Stomp's query to Shopee.
"I told them how the initial reply I received from them came across as impersonal and scripted, lacking any genuine attempt at customer recovery," he said.
"It felt dismissive, and I question whether I would have even received this follow-up email if not for the potential visibility of this issue on social media.
"Just to share, the follow-up email I got from them, again, is a very templated response."
