Not all heroes wear capes: Auntie saves motorcyclist from grasshopper in Jurong

A motorcyclist riding near Chinese Garden in Jurong East, had his trip interrupted by an unexpected passenger -- a grasshopper.

The insect landed on his windshield on July 21, sending the rider into a panic.

The encounter, captured in his point-of-view (POV) video and posted on TikTok by @canyouquackkkk, has since garnered almost 60,000 views and more than 4,000 likes.

In the clip, he quickly pulls over and seeks help from a passing auntie.

He even offers her a tissue from his bag so she can safely swipe the grasshopper away.

"Big thanks to the kind auntie who helped me, not all heroes wear capes!" the rider told Stomp.

In his post's caption, he wrote: "I mean… people have phobias."

Netizens found the video both hilarious and relatable, leaving comments such as:
