Man allegedly pees at foot of block despite posters put up by town council: 'Yishun things'
A man was allegedly urinating at a Yishun block, despite posters nearby warning that such behaviour is an offence.
Stomper M shared footage with Stomp, saying the incident happened at Block 718 Yishun Street 71 on March 7 at about 11.40pm.
In the video, a boy dressed in black is seen standing near a puddle.
A man wearing an orange T-shirt then enters the frame as the boy appears to point out the puddle to him.
According to the Stomper, the puddle was urine.
He said the man in the orange shirt had urinated there earlier, adding that liquid could be seen flowing towards a drain.
A photo also shows the same man later speaking to a police officer near a carpark while standing with another boy wearing a white T-shirt.
The Stomper said public urination in the area has been an ongoing issue.
"It's weird because it's 2026," he said. "Yishun things."
According to him, groups frequently gather at a residents' corner at the void deck to "drink, smoke and play cards".
"We complained many times already but no use," M said. "Only posters were put up."
A photo shared by the Stomper shows notices put up by Nee Soon Town Council stating that urinating in public is an offence under the Environmental Public Health Act.

Town council says issue referred to NEA
In response to a Stomp query, Nee Soon Town Council (NSTC) said it is aware of the recurring issue and has taken several steps to address it.
"Advisory notices have been put up at the block to deter such behaviour, and our cleaners promptly attend to the affected areas whenever such cases are reported," a spokesperson said.
NSTC added that the incidents have been referred to the National Environment Agency (NEA) for enforcement action due to the repeated nature of the problem.
"We take residents' concerns seriously and will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities to discourage such unhygienic and inconsiderate acts," the spokesperson said.
"The town council remains committed to maintaining a clean and pleasant living environment for all residents."
According to the NEA, those found urinating or defecating in public may be fined $300. If convicted in court, offenders can be fined up to $1,000.
