A resident was amused to find a handwritten note addressed to a "man with a mustache" pasted next to a lift in Choa Chu Kang.

The mustachioed man had apparently shaken his head at the note writer for not holding the lift door open for him, prompting the note.

Stomper Rafa'el said he spotted the amusing note in the lift lobby of Block 678 Choa Chu Kang Crescent on Nov 21.

According to the note, the writer was carrying two large potted plants that "took up half the lift".

Presumably, he was unable to hold the lift door open because his hands were full.

"I wasn't being inconsiderate. I was being practical and safe," the writer explained in the note, adding that the man reacted as though "waiting less than 30 seconds for the next lift was some unbearable hardship".

The note continued: "You are a fully able-bodied man. Two other lifts were right there! "Surely a little patience would not have hurt you.

"Honestly, your attitude said more about you than the situation.

"Tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk. (And yes, please imagine me shaking my head back at you! In slow motion, multiple angles.)"

When asked whether he knew the writer, the Stomper said: "Nope. I saw it on my way back home. Thought it was hilarious.

"We have three lifts there. It's common for someone to just close the doors on you as they assume there's plenty of lifts."

When Stomp visited the lift lobby on Nov 27, the note was not there.
