Grab has responded to Stomp's report about a Malaysian motorcycle being used to make Grab and Foodpanda deliveries.

A video of the bike was taken at a condominium at Balmoral Road on May 4 at about 7pm.

Two plastic bags of food were on the vehicle. One had a GrabFood receipt attached to it and the other a Foodpanda receipt.

A Grab spokesperson told Stomp: "At Grab, we are committed to ensuring our platform operates in full compliance with local regulations, while upholding the standards we've set for a safe and trusted experience for all users.

"When we become aware of potential breaches of these standards, we take them seriously and investigate thoroughly.

"Our investigation found that the delivery was arranged directly by the merchant and fulfilled by their in-house rider using a Malaysian-registered vehicle.

"This arrangement does not align with local regulatory requirements, and we have since advised our merchant-partner accordingly.

"The merchant-partner has committed to taking immediate steps to prevent a recurrence.

"This includes ensuring that all future deliveries are fulfilled by riders using Singapore-registered vehicles, and strengthening their internal processes to verify the credentials of any riders involved in order fulfilment."
