A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital after the pickup truck he was driving skidded and crashed into a lamp post at the junction of Bras Basah Road and Prinsep Street on Wednesday morning (Oct 11).

Stomper Jag alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video he took as he was passing by of the truck lying on its side.

Stomper Lee alerted Stomp to a video posted on ROADS.sg's Facebook page of the moment the pick-up truck struck the lamp post and flipped onto its side, narrowly missing a pedestrian.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 7.41am.

The pick-up truck is believed to have self-skidded, a police spokesperson said.

A 36-year-old male truck driver was taken conscious to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
