Customer says Bishan stall deserves 'public service award' for selling $1 nasi lemak
Can you still get cheap meals in Singapore?
Yes, if you know where to look.
Stomper Christopher is a regular patron of a Muslim food stall at Bishan cafeteria, which is located on the second floor of Bishan Bus Interchange.
He lauded the stall's nasi lemak, which costs only $1. The rice comes with a slice of fried omelette, cucumber, ikan bilis and sambal chilli.
Sharing a photo of his food, Christopher said: "The stapler is for size comparison.
"This stall should be given a public service award. It is commendable and I thought to give credit where credit is due."
The Stomper also recommends dropping by the stall early, as the good deal gets snapped out early.
"It is only for breakfast as it would be sold out by 9-10am," he added.
