He was beyond hangry.

Stomper Aqeel was outraged after an order from Domino's Pizza turned into a frustrating ordeal involving Foodpanda's customer service.

He placed an order from the pizza chain via the Foodpanda app at 1am but was called at 1.20am by Domino's, who informed him that there were eight pending orders with no rider available. They decided to cancel his order and issue a refund, which Aqeel accepted.

However, by 6am, his order status had not changed. To his shock, at 1.30pm, the order was marked as delivered, despite never receiving any food!

When he contacted Foodpanda, a customer service representative claimed that the order was "in progress" and told him to wait.

"It's more than $12 hours! Don't you know how to read timings?" he said, exasperated.

Foodpanda then escalated the issue to a senior staff member who said that because the order was fully handled by Domino's, Foodpanda could not process a refund.

Instead, they offered Aqeel a $2.50 voucher for his $89 order, which he found unacceptable.

Aqeel insisted on a full refund, but the Foodpanda representative claimed that someone had tried calling him. Aqeel told Stomp he was certain this was false.

"Hello, I am texting you using my phone! Even my son can call me!" he said in frustration.

The back-and-forth continued, with Nick repeatedly asking Aqeel to wait for '2-3 more minutes' before ultimately closing the chat and directing him to contact Domino's directly.

Despite numerous calls to the Domino's Rivervale Shores outlet, no one answered.

"Fantastic! Foodpanda just pushes away the problem, and Domino's is uncontactable!" he fumed.

"It's like they're playing a game of cat and mouse."

Stomp reported on a similar incident which happened in January. A man was woken up at 3am on New Year's Day by Foodpanda over an undelivered Domino's Pizza order that was made at 6.15pm.
