An SMRT bus captain sprang into action after spotting a car on fire along Bukit Timah Road on Aug 17.
Stomper Lim, who witnessed the incident at about 6.15pm, shared photos of firefighters at the scene, near KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
He also shared a TikTok video of an SMRT bus captain trying to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.
TikTok user Leshanananana said: "He deserves to be recognised."
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire at about 5pm.
"The fire involved the engine compartment of a car," an SCDF spokesperson said.
SCDF extinguished the fire using a water jet and a hose reel.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
