A BlueSG car crashed into the gantry of a Punggol carpark on June 12, damaging the barrier arm in the process.

Stomper Leslie alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo he took at about 2.45pm.

"Punggol HDB gantry got taken out by a BlueSG car," he said. "Fortunately, no one got hurt."

In a photo shared by the Stomper, the BlueSG car appears to have mounted the curb, causing damage to the gantry.

"Traffic police came down to check on the collision and the gantry was fixed the next evening," he said.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car which was believed to have self-skidded at Block 273A Punggol Place at about 2.05pm.

No injuries were reported," a police spokesperson said.

"A 48-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations."

Police investigations are ongoing.
