Ang Mo Kio resident frustrated over ceiling leak that damaged his items after heavy rain
An Ang Mo Kio resident has expressed frustration over a ceiling leak in one of his bedrooms at Block 464 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
Stomper Mr Singh shared photos of the damage to his ceiling after heavy rain on Oct 6.
He said the ceiling was leaking 'badly' and that some of his personal items were damaged.
"Such bad maintenance and management, even at the external ceiling," he said referring to the ceiling of the common corridor outside his unit.
he added that he informed the town council of this issue.
In response to a Stomp query, a spokesperson from Ang Mo Kio Town Council (AMKTC) said it was aware of the bedroom ceiling leak.
"Our Property Officer promptly visited the unit to assess the situation, and we engaged our appointed contractor to address the issue," the spokesperson said.
" The repair work was carried out on Oct 16 with our Property Officer present to oversee the work and ensure it was completed smoothly.
"We have assured the resident that he may reach out to us if further assistance is needed."
