Residents of Block 95 Aljunied Crescent are struggling to sleep because of one neighbour's loud knocking noises at night since 2008.

Stomper Pang and his family have been deeply affected by the ruckus coming from the occupants living a floor below them knocking on the ceiling.

"We are emotionally and physically strained, we can't have a good sleep," he said.

"Residents' sleep is affected by such harassment, especially elderly parents who have chronic conditions."

He first alerted Stomp to the issue in October 2024 and then again in March 2025, during which he said: "We spent almost $10,000 to engage a lawyer to help us to address this issue. But unfortunately, this thing is not resolved until today."

The problem persists as Pang shared recordings of the knocking this month.

"We reported it, but there was no solution as authorities can't ban or issue him a warning," he told Stomp.

On June 15, Pang even wrote an email to Law Minister Edwin Tong, copying it to his MP Tin Pei Ling, National Development Minister Chee Hong Tat and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

Pang wrote in the email: "We are still grieving for our father and we should not be subjected to such noise harassment even during our father's wake."
