2 men taken to hospital after lorry topples on its side in Lim Chu Kang

Two men were taken to hospital after a large lorry toppled along Neo Tiew Road on July 17.
The police said they were alerted to the accident involving a truck, which was believed to have skidded along Neo Tiew Road towards Lim Chu Kang Road at 6.50am.
A 47-year-old male driver and a 49-year-old male passenger were taken conscious to Woodlands Health Campus, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force said.
In a video of the aftermath of the accident posted on the Roads.Sg Facebook page, a man and Traffic Police officers can be seen directing traffic to another lane, as the left-most lane is cordoned off with traffic cones.
Another lorry, a car and a Traffic Police motorcycle can be seen parked behind a 12-wheeler, which is lying on its side on a patch of grass.
Police investigations are ongoing.

A week ago, on July 10, the police said a 38-year-old man was helping with investigations after the cement truck he was driving flipped on its side in Tampines on July 9. The truck was seen lying on its side, with cement flowing from it onto the road.
In 2023, 136 people died in traffic accidents, a 25.9 per cent rise from the 108 deaths in 2022. The 136 fatalities were the highest since 2016, when there were 141 deaths, the Traffic Police said in February in its annual statistics report.
