Stomper Kenny was shocked when he saw the hefty price tag that came with a gold 128GB Apple iPad Pro at M1.
Kenny was looking to purchase an Apple iPad Pro online on Tuesday (Feb 28), when he noticed that a Gold 12.9-inch iPad Pro with 128GB of storage was retailing at M1 for $10,036.45. This price was in addition to a monthly subscription fee.
Baffled, the Stomper then checked the Apple Singapore website to see if the iPad Pro actually contained gold, like the $17,000 iWatch made of 18-karat gold.
The iPad Pro is only gold in colour, and does not contain any real gold.
Stomp also took a look at the M1 site.
If you select the 12.9-inch, 128GB iPad Pro, the price for the tablet is listed as $9,999, on top of subscription plan fees.
Upon selecting a plan - in this case, the SurfMax plan, which costs $50.90 per month - the final cost of the iPad Pro is reflected as $10,036.45.
According to the Apple Singapore site, the same tablet with Wi-Fi and cellular data capabilities costs $1,538.
