Woman fractures knee after fall at Tanjong Pagar MRT station, thanks 2 men who didn't leave her side
A woman who suffered a serious fall at Tanjong Pagar MRT station is expressing her heartfelt gratitude to two men who came to her aid and stayed by her side until help arrived.
Stomper Mabel told Stomp the incident occurred on July 4 at about 6.15pm, near Exit F in the station.
"I had a serious fall and I'm deeply grateful to Lei and Bryan, who acted quickly to support me, called for medical assistance, and stayed by my side until the paramedics arrived," she shared.
The Stomper believes both men are colleagues working at the UOI Building nearby and hopes this message of appreciation can be conveyed to them.
She also wanted to extend her gratitude to the paramedics who came to assist her.
"They were very efficient and promptly administered painkillers to help relieve the pain," she said.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said it received a call for assistance at 6.10pm at 120 Maxwell Road.
"SCDF conveyed a person to Singapore General Hospital," a spokesperson said.
Mabel told Stomp that due to the fall, she suffered a fractured knee and underwent surgery. She is currently recovering at Outram Community Hospital.
