When a girl lost her wallet at VivoCity on Sept 13, she never imagined it would show up at her doorstep the very same day, hand-delivered by a kind stranger.

Stomper Lynette, the girl's mother, told Stomp: "My daughter had been frantically looking for it and had just texted that she had lost it when the man rang the doorbell."

The man, described as a Chinese gentleman with a moustache and accompanied by a woman in a car, handed the wallet to the family and said, "Call her and tell her not to worry."

He also apologised for having to look inside the wallet to find the address.

Lynette added: "I am so grateful for such kind, considerate and thoughtful fellow Singaporeans.

"We forgot to ask for his name but would like to thank him for making our day."
