An elderly woman fell from her wheelchair while crossing the road in Ang Mo Kio and was quickly helped back up by a kind passerby.

Stomper Roland shared a video of the incident which happened along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 on July 31 at about 12.12pm.

"I was travelling along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 when the traffic light turned red and I stopped," he recounted.

"I noticed a helper wheeling an elderly woman across the pedestrian crossing.

"Suddenly, the wheelchair tilted backwards, causing the elderly woman to fall onto the ground.

"The helper tried to lift her but struggled as the woman was too heavy."

Fortunately, a kind passerby rushed over and helped lift the woman back into the wheelchair.

The good Samaritan was later seen helping to push the wheelchair to the other side of the road.

Roland added that a cyclist also acted as a block in front of the crossing to prevent cars from moving forward until the woman was safely back in her wheelchair.
