A kind Gojek driver bought a drink for a migrant worker after driving him back to his dormitory in Jurong on the evening of June 30.

Stomper Benny shared with Stomp: "I picked him up at Yishun and drove him to his dormitory at Penjuru.

"Since the dormitory is near Teban Gardens in the west, I decided to give him a treat to thank him and appreciate him for helping to build Singapore into the great home it is to us Singaporeans."

Benny bought the worker a lychee bandung drink at Ayer Rajah Food Centre.

During their conversation, Benny learned that the worker, who is in construction, has been living in Singapore for the past 10 years.

"It's important that we Singaporeans appreciate migrant workers who leave their homes and their families to work here," said the Stomper.

"I've learned the value of appreciation for them, and I feel that they deserve to have dignity and be appreciated by us."
