UK influencer walks streets of S'pore, China, Japan in white socks as experiment to find out which is 'dirtiest'
A British influencer recently walked the streets of three of the three richest countries in Asia, including Japan and China, in order to find out which is the dirtiest - and many commented that Singapore topped the rankings.
Dylan Page, a UK-based influencer with more than 17.9 million followers on TikTok, is known to his fans as News Daddy. He posts about breaking news, including the 7.6 magnitude Japan earthquake and the Bondi Beach mass shooting.
The 26-year-old also takes on experimental content in the different countries he visits. In his latest series, he walked in white socks through the three Asian countries to test the cleanliness of the streets.
Captioned "Europe or Africa next?", his clip posted on Dec 16 has so far garnered over 12.2 million views, 810,100 reactions and 20,100 comments.
In the clip, he walked along Singapore's Orchard Road, Shibuya in Tokyo, and near the Guangzhou Canton Tower in Guangzhou. He timed himself walking in socks for four minutes across stairs, escalators, roads, and streets.
At the end, he placed the three pairs of socks side by side and asked viewers: "Which country is the best in terms of cleanliness?"

'Ngl these are cleaner then my house': Netizen
"China is just winning everything and I'm here for it," a commenter suggested.
"1. China 2. Japan 3. Singapore," said a user who ranked the cleanliness of the countries based on Mr Page's socks.
While some remarked on how dirty Singapore looked despite the country's reputation as a garden city, one argued that the comparisons were unfair, noting that the long walk Mr Page took "across the street in Japan could have skewed those results compared to Singapore with a small street crossing and no street in China".
"That is cleaner then [sic] my home," one user quipped.
Responding to Mr Page's question of whether he should visit South Africa or America next, many individuals claiming to be Africans warned him in jest not to try the experiment there.
"I wish to confirm Africa's withdrawal from the contest due to unavoidable circumstances," said one.
