TikTokers point out taste differences

Amid discussions about health labels on drinks, many netizens pointed out taste differences between drinks in Singapore and those sold overseas.

"Our Coke sucks," one user criticised, while questioning the TikToker: "Have you tried?"

Some netizens said they preferred the taste of Coke from other countries, with one TikToker claiming they would visit "Thai supermarket or Korean supermarket to get Coke from other countries."

Another user pointed out, "Singapore even has a less-sugar version of Coke, by the way."

The TikToker claimed that Singapore's version of regular Coke is already less sweet than in other countries, emphasising: "Not Diet Coke. But Coke."

'People perceive taste in very different ways': The Coca-Cola Company

According to The Coca-Cola Company's website, the "basic ingredients and process" used to manufacture Coca-Cola "are the same" across all countries.

However, the website noted that people may "perceive taste in very different ways."

The website also pointed out that taste can be influenced by factors such as serving temperature, food pairings, and storage conditions.
