Is a successor to the iconic King Albert Park McDonald's coming?
Customers who grew up frequenting the iconic McDonald's outlet at King Albert Park (KAP) are abuzz over a possible successor to the beloved outlet.
A recent FastJobs advertisement by McDonald's Singapore states that it is hiring service crew for its new Dunearn Village outlet, with the caption: "New store opening!!!!"
The outlet will apparently be located next to King Albert Park MRT at 896 Dunearn Road.
McDonald's Singapore declined to comment on Stomp's queries.

'Miss the train running above'
The iconic KAP McDonald's was once a favoured hangout for students in the Bukit Timah area.
According to Roots, which documents the Republic's heritage, the outlet opened in 1991 and was the largest McDonald's in Singapore at the time, spanning two stories.

After 23 years, the outlet shuttered on Mar 16, 2014 as part of redevelopment plans for the area.
'Unfortunately will never be the same': Netizen
The ad was posted on Reddit where the poster said: "Many of us grew up 'chilling out' or 'mugging' at KAP McDonald's, while watching the toy trains running along the ceiling across the whole store!"
They added: "Just in time for a new generation of students to say, 'Yo, wanna hang out at KAP Macs?'"
In response, netizens were nostalgic but also expressed mixed feelings. "Not the same feel, but still good," said.
Others suggested the new outlet might feel more crowded than before. "They tried to max out the rentable floor area too much," said one.
"The reason why the original KAP Macs was so iconic was because it was like a personal project by the man who first brought Macs to Singapore," one user explained, adding that most subsequent outlets, including the new outlet next to KAP MRT, would just follow just another business "formula".
