'Special ingredient': Rat spotted at NTU canteen climbing walls, falling onto food
A rat was spotted at a canteen at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), triggering disgust among netizens and students.
A video of the incident, which took place at a food court in Tamarind Hall, was posted on the subreddit r/NTU by user @cheese_topping.
The 19-second clip shows the rat scaling a wall of a mala stall, near a display of raw food. After a few seconds, it loses its grip and falls towards the containers of food.
A boy in a white shirt is seen filming the incident, while other diners appear unfazed. A cleaner is also seen walking towards the stall as the video ends.
In the comments, some netizens were disgusted, while several said that the sighting was "expected". Others were amused, saying the animal was "advanced" and it was a "special ingredient".
Stomp has reached out to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) for comment.
