'Random auntie' breaks up void deck fight between two girls, wins praise from netizens

A video of a woman breaking up a fight between two young girls has been making its way across social media channels.

From the 28-second clip, first shared on sgfollowsall's Telegram chatgroup on Nov 10, as many as five girls are involved in the spat that appears to have taken place at a void deck: two who engage in the fight, one whose hands we see briefly at the start attempting to grab one of the girls, another who is visible from the back, and the one recording the video.

One of the girls squares up to another, who slaps her. They then wrestle each other, spinning and falling before the aggressor straddles the other girl, pinning her to the ground and slapping her.

A woman then strides into the frame, yelling at the duo as she slaps the aggressor on the shoulder. The girl gets up and protests that she was bullied by the other girl, who also gets on her feet.

The video ends with the woman reprimanding all the girls present.

The video was shared with the text: "FULL FIGHT VIDEO × GUEST APPEARANCE BY RANDOM AUNTIE. Shared by a follower: fight halfway got random auntie come in smack them."

No information is provided as to where the incident took place, or which school or group the girls are from. While the woman who breaks up the fight is described as a "random auntie", some users in the chat group wondered if she was a relative of one of the girls.

Some Facebook users praised the woman for breaking up the fight.

"Yes the woman who stop the fight got my respect," said one user.

"Whoever is that woman that intervened, I applaud you," another said.

In response to Stomp's queries about the incident, police were unable to confirm if a report was made due to a lack of information.
