Motorcyclist taken unconscious to hospital after accident with tipper truck in Defu industrial area

A motorcyclist was taken unconscious to hospital after he was involved in an accident with a tipper truck in the Defu industrial area on the evening of March 30.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force told The Straits Times they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Defu Avenue 1 and Defu Lane 9 at around 6.15pm that day.
The 31-year-old motorcyclist was taken unconscious to Changi General Hospital.
The tipper truck driver, a 41-year-old man, is assisting with investigations, the police said.
In a photo of the accident shared with Chinese-language newspaper Shin Min Daily News, paramedics are seen tending to a person lying on the road.
Next to them lies what appears to be a broken black and yellow safety post. Two motorcycles can be seen parked near the kerb.
The Straits Times understands that the motorcyclist is currently conscious and in a stable condition.
Police investigations are ongoing.
