Commuters at Boon Keng MRT were surprised by a unique directional signage, plastered with the logos of prominent brands as well as directions, that some say has "retro vibes" while giving off low-budget charm.

A photo of the signage was posted on Reddit with the caption "The other sign at Boon Keng MRT"

According to the Redditor, there were several similar signs scattered around the MRT station.

"Honestly, I think it's kind of cute they tried to replicate the brand fonts themselves," one user commented.

The unusual signs also got netizens puzzling over some of the ldirections, with a few asking: "What does the 125 to Genting Lane mean?"

"You can catch Bus No. 125 from the connecting bus stop there, which would take you to Genting Lane," another user explained, adding: "Probably that road has a number of seniors who are in the early stages of dementia and need signs like these to guide them home."

Some poked fun at the designer, comparing the signage to a "sticker book" and a "kid's art project," while another joked that the signage is the result when "graphic design is my passion".

"The McDonald's sign reminds me of the old sign lol," one user added, sharing a photo of an old McDonald's outlet.
