'Water was so cold': Kovan coffee shop flooded after heavy rain, TikToker gets 'free feet spa'
A TikToker's clip of a flooded Kovan coffee shop has got netizens curious and amused.
"Came for supper, left with a free feet spa," said the subtitles of a post made by Cassie Ng, who goes by the handle @cansee_ng, on Nov 25.
"The water was so cold," added Miss Ng in her caption.
At press time, her reel had garnered 48,200 views and 596 reactions.
The post was also shared on Facebook group, Singapore Incidents, with the caption, "Free Spa". It received 79,000 views and 280 reactions.
Neither post provided any context or explanation – the video merely shows water flowing across the floor of the coffee shop.
"No head, no tail. Where is this?" asked a Facebook user.
"Free flow drink," said a TikToker.
"Ayio [sic] compare to next door..." said another, alluding to the floods in several parts of Malaysia in recent weeks.
Ms Ng told Stomp that it was simply rainwater flowing across the coffee shop.
"Nothing happened, it was just raining very heavily and the coffee shop was situated at the bottom of a hill," she explained, adding that the video was taken at a coffee shop at Kovan on Nov 21.
