Driver arrested after van crashes with lorry and motorcycle in Hougang

A 38-year-old man was arrested for careless driving after an accident with a motorcyclist and lorry driver in Hougang on June 2.

Three men - the 58-year-old motorcyclist, and two lorry passengers aged 21 and 37 - were injured.

They were taken to Sengkang General Hospital, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

The SCDF and the police were alerted to the accident, which occurred at the junction of Hougang Avenue 3 and Lorong Ah Soo, at about 6.45pm.

The van driver was arrested for careless driving which caused grievous hurt, added the police.

Investigations are ongoing.
