'DIY Incinerator?': Incense burner found stuffed with trash
What was meant for devotees to burn offerings for the afterlife became a rubbish bin instead, after an incense burner was found piled high with trash.
Photos shared by a Facebook page showed the burner stuffed with plastic bottles, soft drink cups, takeaway boxes, empty cigarette packs, and several trash bags.
Posted on Nov 4, the post was captioned "Incense paper burners that look too much like rubbish bins".
Images posted later showed an empty burner, suggesting that the rubbish had been cleared. It remains unclear when or where the incident took place.
'They sending to after life recycling plant la': Netizen
Netizens criticized the inconsiderate act, with one commenting: "Karma will befall them".
"Throw rubbish here and you will incur the wrath of God," said another.
One poked fun at the incident: "Next year 7th month they will receive their orders delivery from the other side."
"Believe it or not, this is not right," said one netizen indignantly. Another added that if people intentionally threw trash into the burners, it would only force devotees to "burn on grass and pavements," warning them "later don't complain" when that happened.
However, others were quick to point out that those who threw the trash may not have known any better, noting that there was "no signage" to indicate the proper use of the burner.
