A crane truck caught fire at the site of the upcoming Changi Airport Terminal 5 in the early hours of March 4.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to a fire involving a crane truck at 35 Tanah Merah Coast Road at about 4.45am.

A video uploaded on Facebook shows the vehicle engulfed in flames. An SCDF vehicle and officers are also seen at the site.

The fire was extinguished using a hosereel and a Compressed Air Foam backpack, SCDF said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
