The popular Chomp Chomp Food Centre, located in the heart of Serangoon Gardens, will be closed for three months from Oct 27.

The closure is for repairs and upgrading to be carried out and this is slated to last until Jan 26, said a notice on the National Environment Agency's (NEA) website.

The last time the hawker centre went through such a closure was in early 2017, and it reopened a few months later in April that year.

Besides Chomp Chomp Food Centre, three other places have also temporarily shuttered in October.

The hawker centre spanning blocks 79 and 79A in Circuit Road, Redhill Market, as well as Redhill Food Centre are all undergoing repairs and upgrading.

All three were closed from Oct 1 and will remain closed until Dec 31, according to the NEA, which manages markets and hawker centres.

Meanwhile, in December, Pasir Panjang Food Centre will also be closed for similar works.

The closure will be from Dec 1 to Feb 28, the NEA website said.
