Singapore Pools generated $12.7 billion in turnover for financial year 2024/2025, an increase from $12.2 billion in the previous financial year, it announced on Oct 8.

Of this amount, about 97 per cent - or $12.3 billion - was returned to Singaporeans in the form of prize payouts ($9.45 billion), betting duties and taxes ($2.28 billion) and contributions to the Tote Board ($575 million).

The remaining $353 million - or 3 per cent - was used to cover operating expenses.

Singapore Pools is the sole legal operator for lottery, sports betting and horse wagering in Singapore.

Turnover is generated from TOTO, the Singapore Sweep, 4D, sports betting and horse racing.

It has contributed more than $2.4 million in support to the community, benefiting 230 charities and community initiatives during this period.

Another $1.75 million, raised together with partners, was given to charities.

The group organised 163 volunteering activities in the financial year, and supported 230 charities and social service agencies.

More than 7,589 volunteering hours have been completed, with a 53.7 per cent staff volunteering rate.

Their initiatives benefited groups and organisations such as Community Chest, the Children's Cancer Foundation, para-athletes and local football groups.
