67 trend strikes again: Child 'loses his mind' after seeing bus 967, says bemused driver

Published

A bus driver was left bemused when he witnessed a young child's meltdown, apparently provoked by the vehicle's service number: 967.

In a TikTok video posted by @xheejin_the_nightx on Dec 15, the driver explained his firsthand experience of the "67" trend — a viral, ambiguous term popular among children and teens, meaning "so-so" or "maybe". This often involves the numbers being repeated in a mocking tone with the shrugging of hands.

His vehicle had arrived at a bus stop, where a kindergarten child and his parent were waiting. "When he saw my bus, he lost his freaking mind," the driver said, reenacting the child's reaction and shouting "67" repeatedly.

"I drive this bus service every day. I hear Gen Alpha kids scream '67' to my bus all the time," he said.

"But that is probably the biggest '67' meltdown I've ever seen in my entire life."

Netizens say trend has 'no meaning'

The video has since garnered over 58,300 views and 3,700 likes, with netizens commenting that the '67' trend has become overused. "It has literally no meaning behind it too," one user lamented.

Another netizen, who said he was a driver for service 67, added that he frequently encounters similar moments in the mornings as children head to school.

Other commenters reported seeing people taking photos of the 67 bus service, or children reacting with amusement when spotting the bus.

"Please tell me that this generation can be healed," one netizen wrote.

"I don't even understand the meme nor think it's funny," another agreed.
