The National Parks Board (NParks) has successfully located an injured monitor lizard and attended to it.

Stomper Karyn spotted the reptile at Changi Point Coastal Walk on June 2 at about 8am. She said the lizard was still alert and moving, and its left arm and leg "looked dislocated".

Stomp reported on June 23 that Karyn learnt NParks had gone to the area where the lizard was seen a week after she reported it, but NParks was unable to locate it.

On July 14 at 9.30am, Karyn received a message from NParks, stating that the lizard was found at the National Service Resort & Country Club on July 12.

Karyn immediately informed Stomp and shared a video from NParks, who explained that the lizard had become blind in one eye and was moving slowly.

NParks told the Stomper: "Our vets will give its rigour back by providing electrolytes and vitamins. It will be released into Sungi Buloh Wetlands Park when it's stronger."

Karyn thanked Stomp for the report: "With your post, NParks finally did their job."
