The instances of dog poo being left around Punggol Point Woods are finally decreasing, leaving one resident thankful.

On May 20, Stomper Sharon expressed feeling overwhelmed by the repeated occurrences of dog feces littered around the neighbourhood.

This was just a few weeks after a similar problem was reported in another Punggol neighbourhood.

"There are cameras everywhere, but these offences were committed right under them," she said.

"The culprit doesn't believe that they will be subjected to the law.

"Who is going to uphold it if we report it, yet the culprit is still not caught?"

Photos shared by Sharon show dog poo on grass patches all over the estate, and even on the sheltered walkway ground.

"The dogs were peeing on pillars. So the town council put up a sign to say no dog peeing at pillars," she explained.

"Ironically, the owners let their dogs pee right under the sign, as if to mock the town council."

Sharon noted an improvement in the situation after Stomp reached out to authorities about the issue.

She said on June 12: "I still see poop, but less, and smaller too. I saw one finger-sized poop this morning, but I took it as the person missed it.

"There were also posters put up around the estate soon after."

Sharon, who has also been raising awareness about the issue in her neighbourhood group chat, told Stomp: "I'm really grateful for the improvement. Thank you for your help!
