A video of a youth jumping into the Singapore River made waves on TikTok.

Stompers Jonathan and Anonymous alerted Stomp to the clip posted on Dec 28 showing a male teenager taking off his shirt and performing not one, but two daring jumps before swimming to a staircase and climbing up to join his friends.

His companions are heard cheering and shouting as he does this.

It is unclear when or where exactly the video was taken but the post has since been removed from the user's page.

While the youth in the clip seems unscathed, his daring stunts posed serious risks and could have ended badly.

Earlier this year, a man drowned after another man pushed him into the river near Clarke Quay.

In 2021, a man drowned after he was allegedly dared to swim across the Singapore River near Clarke Quay.

Experts have said the river is a no-go area, even for good swimmers.

There are many unknowns with the conditions in the Singapore River, especially at night.

The recent heavy rainfall may make the flow of the water unpredictable.
