Youth makes cat do somersault before dropping it: Is this animal abuse?
A youth was caught on video flipping a cat in the air before letting it drop to the ground.
Stomper Irfan alerted Stomp to the clip that was posted on Instagram Stories on June 14.
In the video, a group of youths is seen gathered around what appears to be a community cat.
One of the youths is seen holding the feline before passing it to a girl, who then flips the cat in a somersault motion.
The cat lands on the ground and quickly runs away as people are heard laughing.
"Don't you think this is animal abuse?" asked Irfan.
"With the recent animal abuse cases, I don't think this is acceptable."
He alleged that the youths are secondary school students and that the incident took place in Jurong. He also claimed that this was not the first time the group had mistreated animals.
