A resident at Block 242 Yishun Ring Road remains as unmovable as their clutter despite disgruntled neighbours and intervention by the town council.

Stomper David said the cluttering issue on the ground floor has been ongoing since 2022.

Photos he took on Aug 27 show multiple bicycles and boxes, as well as bulky furniture such as tables and drawers, outside a unit, near the staircase landing and at the void deck.

David quipped: "Free storage space for handyman?"

In response to a Stomp query, Nee Soon Town Council said it is aware of the issue and had gotten in touch with the resident "several times".

A spokeswoman told Stomp: "The town council has taken a multi-pronged approach of engagement and enforcement. To persuade the resident to remove the items, we have served advisories, summonses, and conducted site visits regularly.

"We understand that the cluttering habit is a social issue and the situation has been challenging for the town council and neighbours.

"We will continue to monitor the situation closely. We seek the rest of the residents' kind understanding while we continue to work with the resident."
