Yishun resident says neighbour has turned corridor into 'room', town council finds no obstruction
A Yishun resident has complained about his neighbour converting the common corridor outside his flat into a makeshift room.
Stomper Ravi, who alerted Stomp to the situation at Yishun Street 81, said: "A resident has made the common area his room.
"This has been going on for one year."
Photos submitted by Ravi show a sofa, laundry racks, a cabinet, bicycles, a bird cage and other household items arranged near the block's lift.

In response to a Stomp query, Nee Soon Town Council said its officers have inspected the area and have observed that there is "no obstruction to the staircase or corridor".
"The items are arranged neatly and the laundry rack is portable and can be easily moved if necessary," a town council spokesperson said.
The town council also confirmed that the escape routes have more than the required 1.2m clearance along the corridor.
"We would like to take this opportunity to remind all residents to keep common areas clear at all times to ensure safety and accessibility for everyone," the spokesperson added.
